Construction Solution Manager

Responsabilities

Communicating issues to our clients and devising solutions to help the process move forward. Manage multiple existing construction projects that are currently relying on LinkedField’s professional services platform to help support busy GC construction teams. You'll provide boots on the ground support, advising and guiding GC customers through successful adoption with training sessions and regular check-in's.

You'll ensure that customers' projects are progressing at the rate they should, and make customers feel well-supported. Proactively engage with customers on project progress, and work with customers to plan on how to get past any future roadblocks, before they happen.

Work closely with existing customers to ensure they get maximum value out of LinkedField and become loud advocates. With your guidance, contract renewal is a no-brainer for our customers.

Source new customers for a sales meeting with LinkedField CEO, then, onboard the new customers and ensure their ultimate success in our platform.

Manage LinkedField’s talent pool of remote construction professionals (RPs) working on each project. You'll provide boots on the ground support, advising and guiding RP’s through training sessions, working on projects, regular check-in's and enabling RPs to work cohesively/collaboratively with other RPs.

Expectations / About you:

  • LinkedField has various projects starting in the next few months. All of these projects require a consistent amount of time each week for customer success and RP oversight (3-5 hours per week for each project). You will be expected to ramp up and oversee +/- 10 LinkedField projects.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Below is the list of key tasks and responsibilities to be performed by the successful applicant.

External (Subcontractors/General Contractor)

  • Call subcontractors, architects, owners and General contractors on questions and issues to be unblocked
  • Generate weekly reports/status/progress emails
  • Create a recurring list for the General Contractor to unblock issues for us so we can continue to provide our service.
  • Report on progress and metrics LinkedField is tracking
  • Attend external meetings with GC and subs (Weekly sync with PM, PE to unblock, etc.)
  • Intake new work scopes assigned to LinkedField by customer

Internal Management (LinkedField/Remote Pros)

  • Leverage tools/dashboards to analyze project data to manage and oversee overall RP performance to ensure they are meeting their work requirements/responsibilities.
  • Oversee & guide LinkedField technicians/project administrators through subcontractor and GC call lists
  • Review and approve time for Remote Pros.
  • Oversee and manage Subcontractor logs (change order log, submittal logs, billing, etc.)
  • Attend internal status/resourcing/timeline meetings with LinkedField team
  • Facilitate and manage issues/emails from LinkedField remote pros
  • Provide technical comments and constructive feedback for improvement to Remote Pro

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • At least 5 years of general contractor experience within the commercial construction industry.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role of project engineers/FOC’s

Required skills:

Excellent skill and experience in the construction management processes, including:

  • Subcontractor pricing collection/management
  • Tracking emails, following up on emails
  • Communicating to all project stakeholders, including subcontractors, general contractors (PE, PM, Foreman, Superintendent, etc)
  • Evaluating entitlement of change orders
  • Construction pricing review
  • Quantity takeoff
  • Compiling relevant backup for change order entitlement
  • Setting up submittal and closeout logs
  • Reviewing submittals and procurement information to submit to the architect/owner.
  • Reviewing RFI’s/Drawings/Submittals and identifying next steps/action items, trades impacted, etc
  • You have the technical savvy to work with our platforms i.e. Asana, Google Suites, HubSpot, Slack, etc.

Bonus Qualifications/Experience

  • Bonus points for having been involved with interviewing and hiring at a construction GC for a project engineer or project manager.
  • Experience with GMP and/or lump sum project delivery methods is a plus.

Your primary role will be to continue to be the awesome construction GC PM/APM you are. You will be managing LinkedField teams provide construction management services to our existing customers, specifically General Contractors. You will also be the main point of contact for LinkedField's GC customers, and ensure projects are successful and clients are happy.

Ensure our clients are successful when engaging with LinkedField's service product lines:

  • Managing GC logs (Onboarding Documents, Submittals, Change Order Pricing, Closeout, Certified Payroll Reports, Labor Rates, Punchlist, Billing, etc.)
  • Providing assistance to GC teams as a remote PM/PE
  • Drawing Updates and RFI red-lining

Manage LinkedField teams with the collection of construction documents and ensure the collected documents advance to the finish line / approved by the Architect and/or owners. This includes, but not limited to:

  • Review of collected documents for adherence to project documents/specs/etc.
  • Review for entitlement and manage the back and forth revise and resubmit comments between subcontractors, architect/owner and general contractors.
  • Updating project logs and reports
